Goodreads Monday: My Lady Jane

Hey Book Lovers!

Goodreads Monday is a weekly meme hosted by Lauren @ Lauren’s Page Turners and I am super excited to be doing my first post for Goodreads Monday!!!

Basically, Goodreads Monday is picking a book that is on our TBR and showing it off, and I just love showing off books, so today I am showing off My Lady Jane by Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton and Jodi Meadows!

June 7th 2016 by HarperTeen

The comical, fantastical, romantical, (not) entirely true story of Lady Jane Grey. In My Lady Jane, coauthors Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton, and Jodi Meadows have created a one-of-a-kind fantasy in the tradition of The Princess Bride, featuring a reluctant king, an even more reluctant queen, a noble steed, and only a passing resemblance to actual history—because sometimes history needs a little help.

At sixteen, Lady Jane Grey is about to be married off to a stranger and caught up in a conspiracy to rob her cousin, King Edward, of his throne. But those trifling problems aren’t for Jane to worry about. Jane is about to become the Queen of England.

My Comments:

I am super excited to read My Lady Jane, and although it has been on my TBR for a few months I am definitely going to be picking this one up shortly! I love the premise of the story, giving a different ending to Lady Jane Grey. I have read the first few pages of My Lady Jane and it’s going to be such a funny retelling from what I have read so far!

So that is it for me today, and if you have read My Lady Jane definitely let me know I would love to hear your thoughts on the book!

Thanks again to  Lauren’s Page Turners for creating this weekly meme, I loved joining in!

Happy Reading Book Lovers!

      1. I didn’t create the meme – I stumbled across it a while back from another blog and I asked if I could take it over because it hadn’t been done in ages 🙂 she kindly allowed me to
