Goodreads Monday: Three Dark Crowns

Hey Book Lovers!

Goodreads Monday is a weekly meme hosted by Lauren @ Lauren’s Page Turners and I am super excited to be joining in weekly for Goodreads Monday!!!

Basically for those who do not know, Goodreads Monday is picking a book that is on our TBR and showing it off, and I just love showing off books, so today I am showing off Three Dark Crowns by Kendare Blake!

Synopsis:

Three sisters. One crown. A fight to the death.

In every generation on the island of Fennbirn, a set of triplets is born: three queens, all equal heirs to the crown and each possessor of a coveted magic. Mirabella is a fierce elemental, able to spark hungry flames or vicious storms at the snap of her fingers. Katharine is a poisoner, one who can ingest the deadliest poisons without so much as a stomachache. Arsinoe, a naturalist, is said to have the ability to bloom the reddest rose and control the fiercest of lions.

But becoming the Queen Crowned isn’t solely a matter of royal birth. Each sister has to fight for it. And it’s not just a game of win or lose . . . it’s life or death. The night the sisters turn sixteen, the battle begins.

The last queen standing gets the crown.

My Comments:

I was lucky enough to receive two copies of Three Dark Crowns in both The YA Chronicles September Box and The OwlCrate September Box. I’m very interested to see what I think about Three Dark Crowns, as I am hoping for a fast-paced action-packed read, and hopefully this book delivers!

So that is it for me today, and if you have read Three Dark Crowns definitely let me know I would love to hear your thoughts on the book!

Thanks again to Lauren’s Page Turners for creating this weekly meme, I can’t wait to keep joining inthese every week!

Happy Reading Book Lovers!

    1. I have heard a lot of people say similar things, which is why I want to get into it and see what I think as soon as possible. The covers are just to die for, so hopefully the series/trilogy/duology… whatever it is as a whole turns out to be really good, even if the first one lets me down a little! FINGERS CROSSED!

  1. Hope you like this book! My feelings regarding this book is exactly like Lauren’s – promising elements, gorgeous cover, but I was ultimately let down because of the slow pacing and the… lack of action. I do think the marketing is slightly misleading as most of us seemed to think it was like THG, and it just wasn’t. 😛

    1. I love books with THG vibes, the marketing gives me a lot of actiony vibes so I’m so confused if it’s not very action packed! How interesting. Everyone’s thoughts seem really similar, I feel disappointment coming on!
