Goodreads Monday: More Happy Than Not

Hey Book Lovers!

Goodreads Monday is a weekly meme hosted by Lauren @ Lauren’s Page Turners and I cannot wait to bring you another book that is sitting on my TBR!

What is Goodreads Monday you ask? Goodreads Monday is picking a book that is on our TBR and showing it off, and I just love showing off books, so today I am showing off More Happy Than Not by Adam Silvera.

Jne 2nd 2015 by Soho Teen

In the months after his father’s suicide, it’s been tough for 16-year-old Aaron Soto to find happiness again–but he’s still gunning for it. With the support of his girlfriend Genevieve and his overworked mom, he’s slowly remembering what that might feel like. But grief and the smile-shaped scar on his wrist prevent him from forgetting completely.

When Genevieve leaves for a couple of weeks, Aaron spends all his time hanging out with this new guy, Thomas. Aaron’s crew notices, and they’re not exactly thrilled. But Aaron can’t deny the happiness Thomas brings or how Thomas makes him feel safe from himself, despite the tensions their friendship is stirring with his girlfriend and friends. Since Aaron can’t stay away from Thomas or turn off his newfound feelings for him, he considers turning to the Leteo Institute’s revolutionary memory-alteration procedure to straighten himself out, even if it means forgetting who he truly is.

Why does happiness have to be so hard?

My Comments:

More Happy Than Not is a book I specifically purchased because I have been watching Adam’s YouTube channel! He does some amazing video’s chatting with authors, and I just absolutely love his energy! That being said, I had to purchase More Happy Than Not. It has diversity, and is ultimately about a boy trying to change himself. It sounds like such an interesting read, and I will be reading this one during the #DAReadAThon in January!

So that is it for me today, and if you have read More Happy Than Not definitely let me know I would love to hear your thoughts on the book!

Thanks again to  Lauren’s Page Turners for creating this weekly meme, I love joining in!

Happy Reading Book Lovers!

    1. Definitely check it out, it’s cool as talking to Authors about their first book publishing experiences etc. Also he’s starting a book club next year with EmmmaBooks and MichaelBookLion so that’ll be cool!

I can’t wait to read More Happy Than Not in January, I should have gone to it sooner, but you know the drill… So many books, so little time 🙂
