Goodreads Monday: Scythe

Hey Book Lovers!

Goodreads Monday is a weekly meme hosted by Lauren @ Lauren’s Page Turners and I cannot wait to bring you another book that is sitting on my TBR!

What is Goodreads Monday you ask? Goodreads Monday is picking a book that is on our TBR and showing it off, and I just love showing off books, so today I am showing off Scythe by Neal Shusterman.

Published:

November 22nd 2016 by Simon & Schuster Books

Synopsis:

Thou shalt kill.

A world with no hunger, no disease, no war, no misery. Humanity has conquered all those things, and has even conquered death. Now scythes are the only ones who can end life—and they are commanded to do so, in order to keep the size of the population under control.

Citra and Rowan are chosen to apprentice to a scythe—a role that neither wants. These teens must master the “art” of taking life, knowing that the consequence of failure could mean losing their own.

My Comments:

Scythe has been on my radar for so long, and I am glad I finally have this on my bookshelf! It arrived this week, and the premise SO FREAKING GOOD! I’m excited to see this take of a world with no disease, and how the Scythes choose who their victims will be!

So that is it for me today, and if you have read Scythe definitely let me know I would love to hear your thoughts on the book!

Thanks again to  Lauren’s Page Turners for creating this weekly meme, I love joining in!

Happy Reading Book Lovers!

Bex
