Goodreads Monday: Eleanor & Park

Hey Book Lovers!

Goodreads Monday is a weekly meme hosted by Lauren @ Lauren’s Page Turners and I cannot wait to bring you another book that is sitting on my TBR!

What is Goodreads Monday you ask? Goodreads Monday is picking a book that is on our TBR and showing it off, and I just love showing off books, so today I am showing off Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell!

Synopsis:

Two misfits.
One extraordinary love.

Eleanor… Red hair, wrong clothes. Standing behind him until he turns his head. Lying beside him until he wakes up. Making everyone else seem drabber and flatter and never good enough…Eleanor.

Park… He knows she’ll love a song before he plays it for her. He laughs at her jokes before she ever gets to the punch line. There’s a place on his chest, just below his throat, that makes her want to keep promises…Park.

Set over the course of one school year, this is the story of two star-crossed sixteen-year-olds—smart enough to know that first love almost never lasts, but brave and desperate enough to try.

My Comments:

Can you even believe I haven’t read a Rainbow Rowell book yet? It’s shocking I know, but there are definitely a few books on my TBR by Rainbow. I think Eleanor & Park is going to be my first read, it sounds like a cute YA contemporary, and I can’t wait to start this gem!

So that is it for me today, and if you have read Eleanor & Park definitely let me know I would love to hear your thoughts on the book!

Thanks again to  Lauren’s Page Turners for creating this weekly meme, I love joining in!

Happy Reading Book Lovers!

  1. I have read some of Rainbow Rowell’s and I can tell you that they are amazing and A++. I think I cried when I first read Eleanor and Park, but I am planning to reread it soon as I have been hearing some negative thoughts that I did not seem to notice the first time I read it. But either way, I still love how Rainbow Rowell writes. 🙂 Hope you enjoy reading.
