Giant Days, Volume 3 was a great continuation of this series, its fun, humorous, heart warming and very realistic!

Susan, Esther and Daisy are finishing their first semester of university off! The girls along with their male friends Ed and McGraw, find college is more than academics and terrible food. With pub-hopping, breakups, political scandals, and a little camping trip!

Artwork
The artwork is always fun in Giant Days, it’s not exactly the art style that I adore, but it’s enjoyable and it matches the dialogue well.

Plot
The plot of Giant Days is so entertaining, full of drama, adventure and realism. I found volume 3 the best plot out of the first few volumes, it hooked me in and took me on a ride that I just loved. It was also paced well, and as always such a quick read.

Characters
The characters are honestly the best part of this novel. John writes these characters so realistically that you are immediately attached to them and their university struggles! This beautiful friendship group is adorable and I love their dynamics together, as well as individually they are crafted perfectly!

John also did a wonderful job at including new characters that felt complex, layered and were not outshone by the main characters.

Overall
Giant Days keeps getting better and better, and I think this slice of life story is really growing on me! I definitely will be continuing this graphic novel series during 2019.

Rating: 4/5 stars
