Highly Anticipated Reads – Oct-Nov

Hello Book Lovers!

How is it time for the last quarter highly anticipated releases? I have no idea, the months are flying by and it is time for October to December releases so lets discuss!!!

As with all my previous highly anticipated lists this year, I am being super picky, and for the next three months there are 5 books I want to discuss.

With that being said, lets dive into my highly anticipated reads from October to December, starting with my most highly anticipated and working down the list!

Number 1. The Toll by Neal Shusterman

37632682. sy475 Release Date: 5th of November

The final book in the Arc of a Scythe is here and I am both ready and terrified! Neal Shusterman’s writing is fantastic and he always has such amazing moral issues weaved within his books. I AM READY!

Synopsis provided by Goodreads:It’s been three years since Rowan and Citra disappeared; since Scythe Goddard came into power; since the Thunderhead closed itself off to everyone but Grayson Tolliver.

Number 2. The Queen of Nothing by Holly Black

26032912. sy475 Release Date: 19th of November

November is the month for final releases and The Queen of Nothing was the final book in the Folk of the Air trilogy. These books are such a ride to read, so I can’t wait to see where the characters end up in this one!

Synopsis provided by Goodreads: Power is much easier to acquire than it is to hold onto. Jude learned this lesson when she released her control over the wicked king, Cardan, in exchange for immeasurable power.

Now as the exiled mortal Queen of Faerie, Jude is powerless and left reeling from Cardan’s betrayal. She bides her time determined to reclaim everything he took from her. Opportunity arrives in the form of her deceptive twin sister, Taryn, whose mortal life is in peril.

Jude must risk venturing back into the treacherous Faerie Court, and confront her lingering feelings for Cardan, if she wishes to save her sister. But Elfhame is not as she left it. War is brewing. As Jude slips deep within enemy lines she becomes ensnared in the conflict’s bloody politics.

And, when a dormant yet powerful curse is unleashed, panic spreads throughout the land, forcing her to choose between her ambition and her humanity…

Number 3. Call Down the Hawk by Maggie Stiefvater

31373184Release Date: 5th of November

RONAN is back in his own trilogy and I am ready! Ronan is one of my favourite characters from The Raven Cycle and I am excited to jump back into this magical story!

Synopsis provided by Goodreads: Ronan Lynch is a dreamer. He can pull both curiosities and catastrophes out of his dreams and into his compromised reality.

Jordan Hennessy is a thief. The closer she comes to the dream object she is after, the more inextricably she becomes tied to it.

Carmen Farooq-Lane is a hunter. Her brother was a dreamer . . . and a killer. She has seen what dreaming can do to a person. And she has seen the damage that dreamers can do. But that is nothing compared to the destruction that is about to be unleashed.

Number 4. Starsight by Brandon Sanderson

44320715. sy475 Release Date: 26th of November

Next up on my highly anticipated list is Starsight by Brandon Sanderson which is the second book in the Skyward quartet! I read Skyward last year and it blew me away. It was my first Brandon Sanderson read and I adored it. I am really interested to see how this next book goes in this series, and to see if Brandon is a author I want to continue reading.

Synopsis provided by Goodreads: All her life, Spensa has dreamed of becoming a pilot. Of proving she’s a hero like her father. She made it to the sky, but the truths she learned about her father were crushing.

Spensa is sure there’s more to the story. And she’s sure that whatever happened to her father in his starship could happen to her. When she made it outside the protective shell of her planet, she heard the stars–and it was terrifying. Everything Spensa has been taught about her world is a lie.

But Spensa also discovered a few other things about herself–and she’ll travel to the end of the galaxy to save humankind if she needs to.

Number 5. Winterwood by Shea Ernshaw

40148425. sy475 Release Date: 5th of November

A few things drew me to Winterwood and putting this novel onto my highly anticipated list. First, the cover was fantastic. Second, I really enjoyed Shea’s first novel last year. Third… that synopsis.

Synopsis provided by Goodreads: Especially the woods surrounding the town of Fir Haven. Some say these woods are magical. Haunted, even.

Rumored to be a witch, only Nora Walker knows the truth. She and the Walker women before her have always shared a special connection with the woods. And it’s this special connection that leads Nora to Oliver Huntsman—the same boy who disappeared from the Camp for Wayward Boys weeks ago—and in the middle of the worst snowstorm in years. He should be dead, but here he is alive, and left in the woods with no memory of the time he’d been missing.

But Nora can feel an uneasy shift in the woods at Oliver’s presence. And it’s not too long after that Nora realizes she has no choice but to unearth the truth behind how the boy she has come to care so deeply about survived his time in the forest, and what led him there in the first place. What Nora doesn’t know, though, is that Oliver has secrets of his own—secrets he’ll do anything to keep buried, because as it turns out, he wasn’t the only one to have gone missing on that fateful night all those weeks ago.

There it is, my top 5 highly anticipated releases for October to December!

Let me know in the comments if any of these are on your highly anticipated releases, or if you have a release that hasn’t made it to my top 5! I would love to hear your thoughts!

HAPPY READING!
